Terra Hornet

The race is on! Our two pilots are seating in the Terra Hornet cockpit. They are ready for the first stage of the 21st century most popular cup. Their team has prepared the vehicle to face the road features of Europe, Africa and America.

Fuel cell module can be filled with any kind of organic material available along the way. In order to face harsh weather conditions, the cockpit is totally isolated from the outside. Finally, the Scarab 2200 air-support team has selected an amazing route across the continents. The race beautiful landscapes will demonstrate to the public that nature undoubtedly still exists.

The stage is over. The exhausted pilots look forward resting at the back of the Scarab 2200. Meanwhile the support team is preparing the next race. The team leader is reviewing the weather forecasts with the pilots. Mechanics are checking the vehicles, adding needed modules… Everybody is motivated and focused. The next race is being won right now, inside the cosy Scarab 2200.

Weather can be extremely challenging in certain parts of the world. To face it, the support craft has to be strong, reliable and as small as possible. A wing based vehicle is certainly fastest and more controllable. But finding a landing strip is impossible in most destinations. The team solved that problem by designing an aircraft able to fly like a plane and to land everywhere.

Two charging methods to maximize back up possibilities

Depending on wheather and topology situations, Scarab 2200 proposes two different ways to get Race Hornet back. If the ground is stable, support craft may land and open its rear door. For emergency extraction, a bottom trap door is open and the vehicle winched inside.

You’ve passed the first checkpoint and a whole new environment is waiting for your team. In the deserts, unavoidable stones and bushes usually force pilots to stay on roads, causing long detours… But our engineers have found an innovative way to overcome those obstacles. Relying on flexible feet instead of traditional wheels, the Tundra-Hornet is capable of cruising through any kind of land, while limiting environmental damage. Excellent terrain knowledge is required for this decisive part of the race.

2085: Terra Prix last race. This is the coldest iteration of the race. Pilots are now facing thousands of miles of ice and snow.

[one_third_first] [/one_third_first]

Once again, thanks to the team engineers, they are protected from the cold environment by an isolated cockpit. The Hi Res 3D screens will provide a perfect representation of the surrounding terrain. Pilots will be able to make informed decisions even during the toughest moments. Even though temperature-stabilized suits are available in the doors compartments, it would be better not to break anything from the vehicle…

Is it still allowed to Dream? Many projects are so conventional! Leave your mechanical prejudice and let your mind reach the sky. Between dream and Reality, a new glider concept is born…

[one_third_first] [/one_third_first]

« A strange sound whistles in the air. Hard to describe what it is: a large white shape… Like a giant hull. Is it a paraglider or a creature from another planet? » The Dream Glider is radical: shaped like an Albatross, powered with hydrogen. It was developed in 2027, relying on  latest high torsion resistant multi-skins material. Let technology meets sensuality…

Nowadays, cars are symbols of mass consumption and pollution. A new kind of “green vehicle”, E-scorpion is the result of an effort to change this widely spread opinion.

[one_third_first] e-cup map[/one_third_first]

Imagine a reality show where teams have to design and build an electrical green vehicle. Each vehicle then has to take part in an amazing around-the-world energy-cup. The car must contain a main body and three external modules: a combustible cell (Local farmers will provide the needed hydrogen from their harvest), a kite (for wind-propulsion) and a solar panel (to regenerate the batteries). Each team will then have to make tactical choices regarding its propulsion mode.

Originally, Drone were created to preserve human pilots lives. If that was their main purpose, they soon revealed to offer other benefits far beyond that. Have a look at this new generation drone and enjoy its amazing specs!

[one_third_first] [/one_third_first]

Sky Hawk Drone was inspired by Dyson Fan technology. Air caught at the front is expulsed by electrical turbines through the back empennage. As there is no pilot inside, SH drone can be launched without G constraint restrictions. Its large wingspan confers great gliding capabilities that increases massively autonomy and performances. The mixing of the images produced by the four wide angle cameras in a 3d environment sphere is recreated to give ground pilots immersive  and realistic sensations.

Harley-Davidson « Crane » concept mixes organic shapes and electrical technology. A light weight rebel attitude breeds a new kind of motorcycle. Open your eyes and prepare your ears for this futuristic silent vehicle!

[one_third_first] [/one_third_first]

Usually, motorcycles are built around the internal combustion engine. Electric technology shifts that paradigm, allowing for a new approach to motorcycle design. Batteries are now hidden under the organic body-shape, and they deliver their huge energy to motor wheels. Silent, strong and fast, this vehicle is the next step in motorbike evolution.

A 4000 miles long, wind-powered race on roads across the desert… In 2035, the dream becomes reality: thanks to a team of mechanical engineering students, a new vehicle concept was developed. A Sail shaped like an airplane wing makes this wind-buggy unique. The pilots cabin, built on a rotational axis, counterweights the sail. Finally, the sailing wing uses compressed air to fold and make the most of wind conditions.

Gustav is the last survivor of a pre ecological era robot generation. Even though he was not considered to be polluting back then, he is now the main target of the eco-police.

[one_third_first] [/one_third_first]

In 2037, the eco-protection movement seized power all over the world and started a war on pollution. Internal Combustion Engines (ICE) and Nuclear power-plants were banned, along with any kind of polluting industries. These included cars, planes and electrical devices. Even our father’s «green energy» was deemed harmful to the earth. Pollution was over… except maybe…

Fast sketches, quick color renders… There are many ways to make an idea look real. Before launching 3D process, some lines are better to be drawn with a pen on a sheet of paper. Here are some sketches and ideas of prospective vehicles.

[one_third_first] [/one_third_first]

Planes fly, motorcycles and cars ride, boats float… These conventional truth can sometimes be overpassed. Science Fiction design has no limit. If many things already have been set, if great artists have left strong style directions heritages, I am convinced that the best is still to come! So let’s take a pen and create… the future.
